Closely related to safelists are a new breed of email advertising referred to as text ad exchanges. The differences between these and safelists are not many and can easily be missed. In fact one of my favorite text ad exchanges refers to itself as a safelist and is called My Free Safelist.
It is these text ad exchanges that gave me a renewed interest in using safelists as I had not been getting a good response with safelists previously. After I returned to using safelists, in particularly credit based safelists (mailers) I started to get results. Text ad exchanges are based after these credit based safelists.
Here is a list of some of my favorite text ad exchanges:
My Traffic Builder
Viral Exchange
Top Score Traffic
My Daily List Builder
Traffic Persuasion
Traffic Speedway
My Free Safelist
Responsive Hits 4 You
One difference between text ad exchanges and safelists is that text ad exchanges put a limit on the number of emails that are distributed each day to the reader. Once placing your “solo ad” you may have to wait from a few days to a couple of weeks for it to run. This makes your ad less likely to get overlooked and therefore it should get a higher response than with traditional safelists.

One of the best forms of marketing that I have successfully used is safelist advertising. Safelists are groups of people willing to receive each others promotions via email. Their hope is that their promotion will generate more business. Safelists vary in effectiveness by the number of people involved and whether the safelists are free or paid.
Of course a major drawback to safelists is that everyone is trying to sell and no one wants to buy; however, some do buy, or sign up for your free introductory offer, and that’s your market. Every single safelist member had to agree to receive your email. That makes these lists “safer” than simply mass-emailing (i.e. spam)
By definition then, that means that safelists are what is known as “opt-in”. The best type of opt-in list are double opt-in lists. The difference is that after a person signs up for the list, they MUST reply to an email to be activated. This cuts down on programs spamming the list with false emails and also guarantees that someone actually signed up.
Opt-in email through safelists enables you to get your message out to thousands of potential customers every single day (in some cases) –without being accused of SPAM. SPAM is basically unsolicited bulk mail. With a safelist you are giving people permission to contact you.
I prefer to use the credit mailer option of the following safelists as they provide an extra layer of protection from being accused of spam. Here are some of my favorite safelists:
Guaranteed Results 4u
Global Safelist
Target Pro Blaster
Vital Ad Views
Got Safelists
Traffic Pro List
My Safe List Ads
Ad Tactics
Dusty’s Safelist
Elite Safelist
Have a great time promoting using these.
